To celebrate the release of my first stamp set, I'll be giving away a FREE SET to one blog reader - just leave a comment on this post and I'll announce the winner tomorrow night at 9:00 pst (Friday night). Good luck to all! The stamp set will be available for purchase on the My Favorite Things website at 7:00 pm pst on September 3rd. So the winner will not receive their set until about a week after that.
Today is day 3 of the 7 day My Favorite Things teaser time for the September stamp, die-cuts, and stencil releases. They have had some gorgeous sets on their blog this week, so check them out if you haven't yet! Today my set is being announced as well as a stamp set I LOVE by Laina Lamb. She is the one that introduced me to working with MFT, so I am very grateful to her for helping this little partnership come to fruition. I also ADORE her stamp sets as they are perfect for project life, so check them out HERE. If you return to the MFT blog and leave a comment, you will be eligible to win a $75 prize to use in the MFT store each day until release time on September 3rd.
Today I'm going to share with you a few more creations using my Celebrate Life stamp set. Here is a trio of cards I created using two of the stamps in this set:
Supplies: Patterned Papers: American Crafts, Studio Calico; Washi Tape: Studio Calico, Queen and Co.; Bow: Crate Paper; Enamel Dots: My Minds Eye; Stamp Set: Celebrate Life by MFT; Other: Ribbon, Copic Markers, Twine, Enamel Dots, Sequins, Doily, Black Ink
I warned you yesterday that I love sequins. They came out again today on my two cards! For this one, I stamped the "let your smile change the world" stamp with black ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic markers and outlined it with twine. I added white sequins around it and added it to the top of my card. The card base is made with washi tape along the top and patterned paper on the bottom. A big white bow and it was done!
For this card, I stamped the "love you" image on patterned paper using black ink and again colored it in with Copic markers. I used a white gel pen to whiten some areas of the stamped design. I also added some additional doodles around the outside edges of a punched circle. I added sequins around it and placed it on top of a doily. Some ribbon and patterned paper and another girly card was finished!
I love using my stamps for project life cards. This one is 3x4 to fit into a Becky Higgins page protector pocket. I stamped the image on the top of a white cardstock base. I added some addtional doodles with a black Micron pen and used Copics to color in the design and around the edges of the card. All it needs is some journaling!
I hope you enjoyed these creations using my new Celebrate Life stamp set. Don't forget to visit all of the MFT design team blogs to see more creations using this set and Laina's new set - I cannot wait to see what others have done with my stamps - so excited! And leave a comment on this post to be eligible to win a set! Thanks for visiting and supporting my new venture with MFT! Suzy
