Studio Calico Toolbox Class...

Real Life Ain't Always Pretty

Every now and then I decide to post about my personal life instead of just posting scrapbook inspiration. Today I am about to do that - so be warned... I'll try to make it funny as to not bore you, but on this topic, that may be a reach. It's been one year since my brain surgery to remove my unwanted visitor that I named Hugh (huge unwanted growth in my head). I had a benign brain tumor on my hearing/balance nerve called an Acoustic Neuroma. I discovered this through an MRI about five years ago due to some reoccuring balance/vertigo issues. Another Atlantic Layout

I made two layouts in two days - woohoo (that is good for me)! And now the scrap supplies are being put away for a few days. The weather has been so overcast that we haven't been going to the beach much. But we did see Monsters Inc. yesterday and it was adorable - loved it! Today we are going to see Despicable Me 2. A SUMMER LAYOUT

I made this layout today using the Studio Calico Atlantic Collection. This line is one of my all time favorites by SC. I love the colors and the soft feel and it is perfect for beach/nautical themed layouts. The main product that I used on this layout is patterned paper. I LOVE to cut things out of paper (no idea why I love this, but it is one of my favorite things to do). SC has this really cool letter paper, so I cut the letters out for the title and then layered them for a messy effect. I cut so many out, I might be using them over and over for titles.
