I love this quote and I wish I knew who wrote it so I could give them credit. I've been dealing with some HAIL lately! And during it all, I have found so many blessings which I call my rainbows. By focusing on my blessings, I am able to get through the toughest days. One of my rainbows during this time has been my son Thane.
Thane is doing wonderful on his mission in Argentina. I am so incredibly proud of him. A mission gives you a chance to learn how to take care of yourself, live on a tight budget, get a long with a constant companion, make your own meals, rely on the Savior to get you through, be humble, serve others, keep a good attitude and find happiness even on the tough days. He has learned to speak Spanish fluently and has been introduced to living in a different culture, one that is very humble with lots of poverty and crime. He has brought Jesus Christ into many people's lives. He only has six months left and I get my boy back. But I'm afraid he is gone and in his place will be a man! And I cannot wait to hug that man!!!!! His weekly emails make me so happy and keep my attitude positive knowing his struggles and challenges are so much greater than mine.
I know I have posted this quote before, but it applies to this subject.
To get through the constant head pain, I am trying to "dance in the rain". I am enjoying life as much as I possibly can right now. The girls keep me so happy and make me laugh all the time. Lucky for me, they got my crazy sense of humor and they see life the way I do. Which is a lot like Dr. Seuss saw life - he is my favorite author and I love so many of his quirky quotes.
Yep, we definitely look at life through the wrong end of a telescope and laugh, a lot! Today I am off to my 90 day follow up apt. with my brain surgeon. We are going to test my hearing to find out how much was retained in that ear. I think most of it as I still get annoyed at my husband daily for talking too loud and having the TV up too loud. We are the perfect match with his hearing loss and my hearing sensitivity - it's our biggest marriage problem - haha! I also need to talk to him about the constant pain in my incision area and throughout my entire head - kind of like a vice grip is around it most of the time. He will probably say it's just normal based on the type of surgery we did, but I want to know how long this new NORMAL is going to last. Because I want my OLD normal back (not that I have every been referred to as a normal human)!
Have a great day blog friends. I have two more weeks of Project Life to post this week too so I will be back! Suzy
Your doodles help us see the rainbow. Thank you! I hope you're back to your OLD normal soon.

So good to hear you're laughing. Still praying the pain away.

We love the "rainbow" quote. Would it be possible for you to send us an email attachment. My daughter would like to print it for her room. I also have a Girl Scout troop that loves rainbows. They might like prints as well!
