I did another week of Project Life - so proud of myself! And it is super fun to do. I highly encourage you to start if you have not done so yet. As I told myself, it is never too late to start documenting life. I love how thinking about what you will put in your PL for the week makes you more aware of creating fun moments and taking pictures of those fun moments! It's a win win for everyone!
Here is the two page spread:
I used my Studio Calico kits again as the base and added a few things I already had on hand. No need to only use the most recent trendy products on this! I am keeping my color scheme for the year teal blues, coral reds and butter yellows with a few others thrown in. I also tried adding some of my doodles for this week. Nothing like a favorite doodled quote to add some personal flair to the pages!
I'm mixing the style of page protectors I use. Some are from the Becky Higgins Project Life and some are from We Are Memory Keepers. I use whichever ones fit my mood for that spread. No rules here!
I like having a title for the week and incorporating it into the biggest area on the two page spread. Just like a scrapbook page, I want it to include a title, photos and journaling. I added lots of layers on the title portion of the page:
I also added journaling throughout, but kept the primary part on one journaling card as part of a 4x6 pocket.
I created little collages of photos, journaling and embellishments on some of the 4x6 spots. Again, lots of layering. I also added little embellishments and word stickers on most of the photos.
I'm LOVING the new My Minds Eye lines and the Elle's Studio journaling tags and spots. And everything in my Studio Calico kits is perfect for Project Life! I hope this is motivating some of you to start this project as well. I love, love, love doing it! Now I just want to make myself do the week of my brain surgery so I don't forgot any of my feelings or the details of what I learned that week in my miserable state!
Have a great summer friends! Thanks for all of your kind comments on my posts! They are always so appreciated!!! suzy
It is so good to see you doing so well.
