Today is the fourth, but it sure doesn't feel like it! It's been my worst day dizzy/vertigo and feeling sick wise. And I'm getting a little weary of laying down flat. I made it to the family room couch to watch TV for five mins! I feel so bad for my poor bored family. The life of the party has lost her light!
I showered and washed my hair this morning! And Tom drove me to the bagel store and I felt and looked human for thirty mins. See pic below! I need some daily rituals back to feel more alive.
We just found out that there will be fire works at the St. Regis tonight! That means my bedroom window will be lit up and we can stay home (which was really the only choice!). Perfect!!! The flag is blowing outside right by my window and even though the skies are gray today (in my honor of being a party pooper), I still feel some spirit!
So today I'll describe how I feel health wise: Dizzy, hot flashes where I think I am burning up from the inside out, nausea, head pressure and pain, and extreme lack of energy. I'm sure part if it is anxiety because when I feel sicker I get more nervous. I might appreciate reading these updates when I start my project life soon!!! It will help me see my progress.
I know each day is a small step and I must be patient. And usually I am. I'm not feeling sorry for myself, but I suddenly have incredible empathy for those suffering from health issues around me. I had no idea. Christ dying on the cross has a whole new meaning to me. I'm very thankful for that as I'm not one that was blessed with a keen understanding of others' pain and hardships. I guess this is how God is teaching me to feel more. My nature is to cheer and laugh and lighten. Me and heavy hearted are not close friends....
I'm sorry if anyone is sick of me updating my blog, checking instagram, commenting on every photo, and posting on facebook. I have gone from someone who makes no time for social media to someone who sits on it all day just to make sure life is still revolving as normal. I feel like life is moving along and some how i got off the train and im watching from the sidelines. Pretty exciting lives you are all living! Places like Susan Weinroth's blog And Stephanie Howells blog and pretty pinterest pics make me very happy right now.
I hope all my sweet devoted blog friends are enjoying the day. Happy fourth to all!! Xo. Suzy
So glad to hear that you are feeling better!

I don't usually comment on stuff, but I am a faithful reader and have been praying for you and your family. I think it is amazing that you feel like going to get a bagel and doing just about anything after what you have been through. Be patient with yourself and rest so that your body can heal. You do so much for others, now it is time to let them do for you - a much harder thing to do. Remember that it is the hard times that make us fully appreciate the good ones.

So happy to see your pin on pinterest. I am on vacation and wanted to check in to see how you are doing. Sorry things are going slow, but in the scheme of things.... I am thrilled that you are alert and present enough to blog! I agree with you in that only when we experience the trials of others can we appreciate their journey. God Bless you as you move towards a full recovery!

Really amazing how great you look and what you are able to do so far. Its rough to be slowed down from normal living - especially for someone so active. Best wishes for better days ahead!

You look great, and what a wonderful attitude you have! So glad you have gotten out of the house. It's always hard, we want recovery to go faster. Just remember, one day at a time, and this too shall pass. Hope you will get to feeling better soon.

You haven't lost your light, it's just hard to see through the pain, please don't worry it is just going to take a little time. Lovely that you see God's work despite all you are going through. Amen sister!

I reread my comment. Sorry for being too informal. I meant no disrepect. I got caught up in my excitement over the fact that you are feeling lousy you are still able to see God at work, and that is so amazing and gratifying to me. In the future I will find my filter.

What a view to be able to see the St. Regis!! Sometimes it's the little things that mean so much :)
Continued prayers for you and your family.

You look great! Glad you were able to get out. I found your blog either from 2peas or Laura Vegas's blog. Love to see your scrapbook layouts! I hadn't read your blog in a while, and after seeing your comment on Stephanie Howell's blog, I wandered to your blog to see what was up. If you are looking for book recommendations, Elin Hildebrand (writes stories taking place at Nantucket Island), Kristan Hannah and Debbie Macomber are some of my favorite authors! I hope you have lots of good days ahead!
