My niece was visiting from Utah over the Thanksgiving week, so I took her Senior pictures. We went to so many locations in Balboa and Laguna and made it a two day photo shoot! I made this page below with some of my favorites taken in Blue Bird Canyon Park in Laguna Beach. All the products on this layout are by American Crafts - the Amy Tangerine line.
I LOVE mixtape (American Crafts brand of washi tape). I am always trying to think of innovative ways to use products, so I sat staring at it for a while yesterday. I came up with these frames. I laid the tape on the front side of the photo along each edge with about half of it hanging over the edge. I turned it over and laid a piece of thick twine along the edge of the photo on the sticky side of the tape. I then rolled the mixtape over the twine and attached it to the backside of the photo. I turned it back over and sewed along the edges of the twine. The result was photo frames that have black twine inside them that shows through the mixtape (hard to tell in the pictures).

Here are some of my other favorite pictures of cute Emily. She has the best personality which made it really easy to take tons of photos of her!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!!! I'm off to make a couple more layouts for American Crafts which I will post later this week. Suzy
what a beautiful young lady, very pretty eyes, and gorgeous photos!! Senior photos are so different from when I was a senior back in 1988, my pics were SOOO cheesy!! All done in a studio with strange laser backgrounds and sitting in that great big oversized wicker chair, I had orange and blue eyeshadow...okay I need to stop now, it's bringing back memories of HUGE hair...lol...your layout is fab!!

I love your art! :) Can you make a video tutorial for the picture frame? I love taking pictures of my kids, especially when we're strolling at the beach and parks. Anyway, her smile is so beautiful. I love the second to the last picture. ;)

The artwork looks great! Her photos are very appealing. I love her natural smile and the lively poses. It reminds me a lot of my high school years. ;) Anyway, my family is planning to go to Laguna Beach this weekend, and I'm excited to take pictures along with them!
