Hello my friends! It has been a while since I have blogged! Today I have something to blog about!!! First, I wanted to talk a little about Maggie Holmes photo actions (and this is NOT a paid advertisement!).
I recently purchased her three sets of actions for Elements. I have really enjoyed playing with them, so I wanted to show you a before and after on a couple of photos. Here is the layout I used the two photos on which is primarily made with American Crafts products:
American Crafts Products Used: Midnight Moon Paper (35511) - Nightfall, Lily's Bakery Paper (35534) - Garden Cafe, Goodness Slate (53249) - Thickers, Savor - Small (42210) - Remarks Books, Yellow Rose Ribbon (58231) - Premium Ribbon, Dear Lizzy Ribbon Assortment Pack (89375) - Premium Ribbon, Stream (61733) - Mixtape, Precision Black .03 Pen (62311) - Glitter Buttons Tropicals (85542) - Elements, Large Pearl Brads Primaries (85315) - Elements, Patterned Buttons (85530) - Elements
I had a great time mixing lots of the new lines on this layout again! I also added in some older products such as the Mix Tape - I love that stuff!
Can you believe that Sophie is almost 12? She started middle school this year. She is getting so grown up - ahhhhh! We went antique shopping the other day to buy some props for photography. She is going to be my assistant when I do photo shoots. It is something we enjoy doing together. She is also my model to test out the props! Here are two photos I took of her with the before and afters as well as the actions I used:
On this image, I used the Color Pop action from the Color Action set - see this link for information about it: Maggie Holmes Photography. I also did some other basic edits like lightening it, sharpening the eyes, whitening the teeth, etc... Last, I warmed up the image a little so it has more of a golden hue to it. If you click on the photos, you can get a much better view of them.
And here is the other photo using some of our new props:
On this photo, I used two actions from the same Color Set - lighten up and extreme color. I then applied some other edits as listed on the last image. What a difference some editing makes, huh?
I'll be sharing another American Crafts page and photo before and afters tomorrow, so come back for another visit! Suzy
AMAZING!!!!!! The colors really pop. I LOVE your page BTW, it is so fresh & 'trendy'....:o) :o)

Lovin it. Enjoy your daughter throwing you a kiss. In a couple of yrs. that won't be happening for a while. When my daughter turned 12 she told me she is now a preeteen and she expects to be able to stay out later, go out more often and never have to wear a flowered dress again. LOL Don't worry they get over it. She is now 29 and my best friend. Just sayin enjoy the moment.
