I took this photo on Saturday night on Balboa Island. Sophie was having her eleventh birthday party and all the girls got dressed up and we went to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. They were walking down the street and Sophie was literally fighting to get to front and center of the picture, but her friend Kirra stole the show! It reminds me of a Sex and the City ad. These girls are all camera hogs - they love having their pictures taken! Thank goodness because Maggie Holmes was in town doing photo shoots, so I hired her to take pictures as well.
I made this layout using lots of American Crafts new goodies (list below). The paper is by Crate and I added embroidery stitching over the stitching on the paper. The stickers on the top and bottom are all by Bella Blvd.
American Crafts Products Used: Dear Lizzy Enchanted Hyacinth Details (78041), Dear Lizzy Enchanted Fancy Strawberry Thickers (53111), City Park Swing Delights (72003), City Park Trail Remarks Stickers (42183), City Park Gate Remarks Sticker Book (42175)
I will be scrapping many more pictures from this night - so many good ones to choose from! There is nothing more fun to me than snapping pictures of these darling little girls.
Here is a tip on how to make your photographed layouts look better. When I have things hanging over the edges, I use the Photoshop Elements selection tool and select around the edges of the layout including anything that is hanging over the edges. I then copy the layout and paste it onto a white background that is slightly bigger. You end up with a white border around it, but when you post it online, it doesn't show. Another thing I do is take my original photo and place it over the photographed layout (as it is never looks as good when you have a photo of a photo). Then before I flatten the image, I use my eraser tool to remove the areas where something is placed over the photo. Then I flatten and the photo is as good as it was originally!
Hope you all have a great day today! Thanks for stopping by! Suzy
I love this photo of the girls. Your daughter in blue I'm assuming looks darling in her fancy dress and sneakers with one shoe that's untied. Good thing she didn't trip. How cool to take them all out like that and love how dressed up they are. Love the layout too but the picture is priceless.
