Daily Blog Updates?!?!?!?!?! I know, I know...don't expect this to last!
Here is a page I just finished called Santa Barbara:
It uses lots of new American Crafts goodies including: City Park Remarks Sticker Book Gate (42175), City Park Rock Creek Gardens Paper (35225), City Park Bay Park Paper (35246), City Park Balboa Park Paper (35236), Dear Lizzy Details Hyacinth (78041) and Dear Lizzy Enchanted Fancy Strawberry Thickers. The background paper and bottom border are Sassafrass Lass.
I punched the circles out of the City Park paper that has glittered circles on it and placed them around my layout. I also used a Coluzzle circle cutter to cut several circles out of paper and cardstock to frame my photo.
And now for some news and a give-a-way: Creating Keepsakes has come out with a new book by the ever so talented Jennifer McQuire. It is called 101 Ways to Use Your Scrapbook Supplies and you can purchase it at the Scrap and Paper Shop. Check this link out to see a sneak peek inside the issue. And if you want to purchase it, use coupon code FS101B to get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.
The book gives you lots of ideas to use your scrapbook supplies in creative ways to create page accents, backgrounds and more. There are budget-saving tips, easy techniques as well as more advanced ones, ideas for leftovers and lots of useful ideas that will help you make the most of your supplies.
Several other designers contributed to this book as well including MEEEE!!!!!! Here is one of the accents I made with my leftover supplies:
This little "house" was so fun to create. I took yellow grosgrain ribbon and sewed the long ends together. Then I cut pieces of it to make the roof adding Doodlebug border stickers under each piece of ribbon. The curtains are made the same way and I used some of my older supplies on them - metal corners and brads. Most of the other elements are cut from different paper scraps.
LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS BLOG POST TO POSSIBLY WIN A FREE COPY OF THIS AWESOME NEW BOOK!!! CK will be mailing it out directly to you. I will randomly pick a winner on Friday night - October 8th and announce it on Saturday morning.
Happy Day to all! Suzy

Wow, wow, wow!!! Love the layout and the house is unbelievable. I could probably have the picture next to me, have all the supplies, and I still wouldn't have it look like that. You're awesome, and intimidating all at the same time. But we all love you for that. Thanks for the opportunity.

House reminds me of the Little House by Virginia Lee Burton.... have you ever read it to your kids? Great little story about a house built in the country. Eventually, urban blight surrounds the little house and it is left to decay. One happy day, it is removed from the city and moved back (by truck) to the country again.....Yours looks as it did when returned to it's country roots!
