Reflections Isle Carnival 2010!!!

It is time. The time is here. Reflections is THIS weekend. I cannot believe it has been a whole year since the last event where I started hanging out with my good friends Annie and Laura (((and laughed harder than I ever have over a two day period))). Mrs. Buttface...

...the homeschooling mom of four. The kids were home today AGAIN due to the teacher's strike in our school district. I decided it was time for them to learn something, so I (((tried))) to home school. I had our neighbors two girls as well, so that meant making sure my curriculum worked for a kindergartner as well as a second grader and two fourth graders. Sorry I have been missing in action this week!

I had to take Hugh to the photographer last week and today I got to see his photo shoot. Quite interesting I must say. All is well for now with Hugh and no action is required for another year...YEAH! I told the doctor I had named him Hugh and he suggested I change that to Mugh (medium sized, not huge sized - haha). He also dared to call Hugh ugly - he thought that is what the U stood for and I said no, it was for unwanted. How dare him! Breaking Bad Habits...

I am a very (((very))) bad eater. I eat lots of bread, cheese, bean burritos and sweets and that is about it. I am always in a hurry and eat whatever is quick. I don't usually worry about what my eating habits are doing to my INSIDES. I do however often worry about my weight and it seems to be getting higher and higher as I get older. So I picked up this book the other day at Costco called Eat This, Not That. They have several of them, but this was the one that seemed like more of a summary of all the others. More AMM layouts to share!

Wow - this kit was just amazingly fun to work with (is that a word)? Ok, it was magical - I'm sure that one is a word - haha! This is the April amillionmemories kit. Here are two more layouts I finished with it this weekend: (((I know what you all are thinking when you read this one. You aren't falling for it, are you? hahahaha. A Million Memories April Kit

This is my third (and last) month to design with the amillionmemories kits. I have so enjoyed working with them - Michelle really knows how to combine product together to create beautiful layouts. The April kit was a little more "pretty" product then I typically scrap with (you might notice I don't often use flowers on my layouts). So that presented a bit more of a challenge for me. Two Page Layouts

In the past year or so, Creating Keepsakes has requested that more of our assignments be done in the two page format using mostly 4x6 photos. At first this scared me to death - I had never really done two page layouts. But now, that is primarily what I do and I feel like I am doing REAL scrapping (not just pretty pages with one photo). Here are some recent two page layouts I have done. At first, I stunk at them and couldn't get the balance right. But with practice, they are coming way easier now and I actually prefer making them.
