REFLECTIONS 2010!!!!!!!

Have you heard about Reflections yet? It is a scrapbook event that is held in Newport Beach, California on April 30th to May 2nd. I'm so excited about this years classes!!! Some of my favorite scrappers and bestest friends in the industry will be teaching three hour classes: Kelly Goree (love you!!!!!), Elizabeth Kartchner (love you too!!!), Kelly Purkey, Debee Campos, Katie Watson, Danielle Flanders and Maggie Holmes. This is certainly an all star cast and a diverse group of scrappers! I was able to attend many of the classes last year and I made these two projects that I love, love, love! Sick Day...

Chloe has been home sick for two days. I like it when Chloe is home sick. Not that she is sick, but that she is home! We have been having fun on her sick days. Which makes her enjoy having sick days. Which isn't being a good mommy - haha! So poor Mayzie got the brunt of our fun. And we built lots of block towers. And then knocked them over. And then wrestled all over the floor. Some Layouts - FINALLY!

I haven't made any layouts for the past week or two (except two for submissions), so I decided I will post some older ones - pre new CHA releases. Hope you enjoy them! This is my friend Annie's daughter at the beach last summer. Lots of Sassafras Lass on here and the orange paper is Little Yellow Bicycle. I made this one about a year ago. I used extra chipboard pieces to form the heart (they were in the Pink Paislee chipboard letter set). There is a transparency over the photo, so it looks kind of weird. Keepin' It Real...

I would like to thank all of my loving, sweet, kind blog readers for all of the nice comments left on my last post. It meant so much to me to have you share your thoughts with me and to know that maybe, just maybe, I motivated someone to have more fun in life! I know so many of us are going through tough times and it feels good to bond together and help one another through those trials. So thank you from the bottom of my big ol' heart. Life is MAGICAL...

I warn you, this post might get a bit serious. I might say WAY too much about my personal life and feelings. I might share more than I think I should. The reason I started a blog is to share my scrapbooking with others. And that is primarily what I do. The only people that read my blog (that I know of) are scrapbookers. So again, it makes sense to stick to what people come here for, doesn't it? A Layout to Share...

One more layout. Only one. Because this one took me FOREVER! Do you ever have nightmare stories about a layout? First I used some other photos. But they didn't match it quite right. So I had to tear them all off the chipboard banners and start fresh. The ribbon that hangs the photos got changed about 10 times. I was trying to be innovative with the Maya Road chipboard banner book... I might have been better off making an actual mini book time wise! The good news is, it uses the amazing amillionmemories March kit which I DOOOO likey! I still want to create more with it because I have a ton of product left. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!... I Have Been Busy...

...enjoying the beach lately! After all of our rain the past few weeks, the sunshine is bright and the beach has been calling. We have been four times in the past week! The Southern California beaches look a little different though - the Montage said it has lost 8 feet of sand! There are way more rocks, way less sand and you have to literally climb to get to it! But the beauty is still there as you can see in these pictures. Last night, we went to the beach at 5:00 and stayed until 7:15 for sunset. The Newest Member of Our Family...

...remains nameless. This is a girl rodent Chloe received for her birthday. I suggested naming the cute little Teddy Bear Hamster Buttercup. Sophie wants to name her Piglet (she looks just like a little baby pig with a pink snout and squeals very loudly when she is scared). Chloe wants to name her Daisy. But I think Daisy is far too close to Mayzie. I don't want to confuse our sweet animals when I call them for dinner. She is seriously adorable. We found a way to get her to let us hold her last night - feed her a pecan. She gobbled it up so quickly and had a big fat cheek on only one side which quickly went... Read more →
