I love cold weather and cloudy days. Today is just a perfect day for hanging out in the house and getting stuff done (with a warm sweater over my jammies!).
Yesterday a friend pointed out this blog to me: The NieNie Dialogues I ended up reading about Stephanie Nielson's very inspirational story for over an hour. She was recently on the Oprah show. It really made me think about what is important in life and how blessed I am.
My good friend Jamie Harper is selling some amazing scrapbooks on her blog! I love the Halloween ones. She is sooooo talented!!! Here is a picture of one of the covers:
My husband absolutely loves Todd Snider. We have been to many of his shows and driven as far away as Santa Cruz to see him (while I was nine months pregnant!). He often plays at clubs in LA. We went to the Grammy Museum last week to hear him interviewed. Tom got to ask him a question and meet him afterwards and I think it might have been the most exciting moment of his life! Here is a picture (he wants to put it on our Christmas card this year, but I don't know...):
Creating Keepsakes has a new book out called Super-Fast Pages With 4x6 Photos, Vol. 2. You can purchase it here for $14.99. Every page in this idea book features uncropped 4x6 photos. Here is the cover and one of my layouts in the book. The photos are of my friend's daughter and are just adorable (yes, straight out of her camera!).
I finally broke down and bought a Slice. I actually didn't open it until I had it in my house for almost a week. I kept staring at it trying to decide if I really needed it. I don't. But I couldn't resist finally opening it. I am so intimated by anything electronic. I impressed myself by actually figuring out how to use it (ok, reading the manual DOES help!). I just bought one cartridge - the Christmas one to use for a kit I am making. So my question to any of my blog readers is, what cartridges do you like?
Ok, so I think that is enough "random ramblings" for the day! Have a good one! Suzy
you might need to invite some friends over to help you break that slice in... ;)
isn't nienie's blog and story amazing? i've been reading her since before the crash. i never watch oprah but i made an exception for her. glad you found her.
