We went to the Long Beach Aquarium today for the first time ever (why I ask myself???). We met one of my favorite people there, Lisa Vanderveen and her cute little daughter Sophie, who I have been dying to meet. There was definitely something in the air today...not sure what, but I hope I didn't catch it.
The seals had it BAD:
The Lorikeets had it (and if you were brave enough to hold them while they bit your fingers, you got a nice foot bath in the process...):
At this point, I was starting to wonder if this was an aquarium for adult's only...
Even the star fish seemed to be in the mood for lovin'...
This was Mr. Photogenic per me. Per Lisa, he was just a guy who photographed well. Not sure which or if there is a difference, but he is cute none the less:
This guy/girl had me wondering about how you tell if a shark is male or female and how they reproduce. After a discussion with Lisa about our thoughts on the subject, I was soon educated more then I wanted to be. As I stepped outside to the shark "petting" area, I saw a big board answering all of my reproductive questions with pictures to help me visualize things as if I was having trouble (well, what did I expect, this was the Hanky Panky Aquarium after all)...and yep, this is a SHE:
Happy girls (after being bribed with goodies for a happy girl photo):
The good behavior only lasted for one shot before my girls attacked poor Sophie:
I don't know if Lisa and Sophie will ever want to hang out with us again because we were our wild naughty selves like usual. And I'm pretty sure the staff at P.F. Changs won't let us near the place ever again due to the sticky rice carpeting we made while eating...
Fun to see you today Lisa!!! (And next time, you might want to read Annie's blog before going out to eat with me and my girls)...
suzy :)
OMG LOL. But I think they were actually Lorikeets... And thanks for not putting my butt on your blog :)
