A Fun Summer Kids Project

The girls and I made some dolls using the Maya Road boy and girl chipboard album pages. We had so much fun trying to make them look like us. Here are the steps to make them: we painted them skin color; glued chipboard behind the heads and attached fiber or ribbon hair to it; drew the faces with sharpies and attached rhinestones as the eyes; made the clothes out of ribbon and fabric; added little details to each to finish them off. A Little Birds Tale House...

I think I've mentioned that I adore the Heidi Grace line called A Little Birds Tale. Fiskars asked me to make a project using their tools for their website, so I turned to this line one more time. It seemed fitting to make a bird house with it! I used the Maya Road chipboard villa which is the perfect size for a bird house. Then I got out all my trusty Fiskars tools I have been accumulating. Mid Month Garden at 2Peas

The busy days of summer are coming to an end and this makes me really sad! So I haven't posted much lately or done much scrapping as I am trying to spend all my time with the kids before they go back to school. My favorite parts of summer are not being on a schedule, doing whatever we want every day and having my kids home full time. I wish it lasted all year, but then maybe I wouldn't love it as much! Making Memories HOF Challenge

The HOF girls are hosting a challenge on the CK Website each month focusing on a different product line included in our HOF prize packages. This month we all made pages using Making Memories as they were so generous with us! My favorite Making Memories line is Animal Crackers. I made a Maya Road box and album using it that I posted on my blog a month or so ago (for the Maya Road booth). Then I made this layout for the challenge adding in some of the boy line as well. My Garden Seeds are Planted!

I was super duper excited to be asked to be the Guest Garden Girl for 2 Peas for August. That was a fun email to receive! I created six layouts for the first of the month garden and I will be making a few more for the mid month garden. I used the Autumn Leaves lines called Heather Bailey and Manhattan - I loved working with both of these lines! The Heather Bailey line is right up my alley, all girly and bright.
