I made this lady bug album using a Maya Road flower petal tab coaster book. It also uses Maya Road ribbons (including the cool new sheer ones), lady bug chipboard, velvet blossoms, sheer journaling card and trinkets buttons. You can see it on the Maya Road website with the exact supplies and step by step directions. And thank you to my good friend Pam who is not a scrapper, but saw this album and said "that looks like a ladybug". Thus the idea was born...and then that very week my daughter told me she was a ladybug in her upcoming school play! I also want to thank my sweet friend Cheryl for the fun box of Fiskars products she brought me - the cute little lady bug rub ons were perfect for this book! I will be posting some projects using their products on my blog soon as I absolutely LOVE them! Suzy
OMG, Suzy! That IS the best idea! It turned out so cute!

Cute as a bug! (Wink wink!)
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me! Have to tell you a cute story about my son when he was about 4..he's 18 now and would kill me for telling...BUT...ladybugs used to randomly land on him at the pool, in the yard, out on walks and he always thought it was the same ladybug each time! "Oh, she's back, my ladybug is back now, Mommy" he would always say.
SO cute!
I let him believe it was the same one each time---and who knows, maybe it was?! haha

I love the ladybug book. My 1st grade classroom is "Busy Bee Themed". I think I may try to make a bee themed book inspired from your ladybug book. I would really like to find those Maya Road plastic journaling "things". I have never seen them at my LSS. Thanks for the ideas!

First... that book is DARLING... You are such a ROCKSTAR!!! Second, Jessica (Jessica Howard back then) had Mrs. Lightner when we lived in Aliso Viejo... for 1st grade, if I remember correctly (that was 11 years ago)... is she still into Irish Dancing? She was a GREAT teacher! What a SMALL world!
