I made these pages for a recent Memory Makers book called 601 Scrapbook Ideas (great book by the way!). One is about my Dad and one is about my Mom, so I thought I would share them. They live in Utah and I miss them very much!!! My Dad came out for a week early last year so I could make him an album about his military career (he was a Green Beret, Colonel in the Army and fought in three wars). It was such a great week where the two of us were able to just bond and hang out and appreciate what scrapping is really all about. Thank you Jamie for taking these pictures of us together, the only ones I have with him recently. He is 82 and has cancer and I will cherish them forever! Suzy
Oh Suzy Q these are both beautiful! Very fun and special layouts. I'm loving that flower on the second one. Oh so pretty! Thanks for the email. I will reply soon! Hugs!

So sweet- those are great pictures of you with your Dad. Great layouts as well. It saddens me to hear about the cancer- my Grandmother is battling with it too. She will be 80 soon. Glad you were able to spend the time with him and capture the memories.

Oh those are so cute Suzy. What great layouts. Sorry to hear about your dad too. What gorgeous photos Jamie took and what an impressive man your father is.

So your Dad was a Green beret? That's quite an achievement isn't it? I only know what I see in movies... I'm so sorry to hear that your Dad has cancer! Those pages will be cherished!

Oh man, those photos with your dad are going to be so well cherished forever. Not that the ones of mom aren't special too, but that story about your dad coming to do an album with you - wow. That's really poignant!.
