SOPHIE TURNS EIGHT!

My sweet little girl will be eight on Sunday, so I wanted to get some good pictures of her. I took her to Laguna Beach as they have the most awesome photography spots including an old fashioned phone booth! We were walking around down town and found this little court yard tucked between buildings with all these statues. I remembered Tom had been a DJ at a wedding in that exact spot when we were dating. So taking my daughter's pictures there brought back lots of good memories. We went to a pizza dinner and our favorite candy store - it was a fun night! Cute Jordan

Jordan, my step-daughter came to visit a couple weeks ago. I finally got to take some new pictures of her. Just love this girl - she is always so fun to photograph! She got married almost TWO YEARS AGO! We are so proud of her - she has really grown up and is so RESPONSIBLE now. Thanks Jordan for the fun visit and the cute photos which I will be scrapping soon! Some New Love, Elsie Layouts

I did my first two Hawaii pages using Love, Elsie products. All three of these are using the Love, Elsie Hobby Lobby lines called Lola and Riley. I can't wait to get started on a Hawaii mini album - so many ideas brewing and have you seen the new tiki/hawaii papers from Rusty Pickle? Darling! I made this one by taking a 12x12 piece of paper, folding it in half and attaching the insides together, then cutting it into three strips (it is now double sided with the same pattern on both sides). ...I'm not the only one that thinks the movie Mr. Bean's Holiday is hysterical! I am a bit worried about myself right now. I took the girls to see Hairspray for the second time (which I also thought was very funny!) and we were late. So we decided to go to Mr. Bean's instead - I had NO idea what to expect, but it was rated G, so I figured it was a good kid flick. Not to mention I saw many children going in with parents. More Hawaii Photos...

...so many more! Just a few more today - I'll be adding them periodically until I feel satisfied that my trip has been sufficiently shared! So for today: Sophie in the water in our hotel lagoon. Looks SO blue in the photos, but was more this color (not that I'm complaining, but man made is just NOT the same!): A lovely bird in our hotel lobby - with his feathers ruffled due to me getting TOO close for comfort!: Me sitting all nicely waiting for my picture to be taken and swish...along comes a wave! BACK FROM HAWAII...

and finally updating this boring blog! Ten days in paradise - 5 in Kauai and 5 in Oahu. Here are some pictures and stories from our trip: This is Chloe all dressed up to do the hula at our hotel. It was keiki hula night - we thought this meant the kids got to go up on the stage and do the hula. So Chloe got all dressed up and was so excited as she loves to dance the hula and is a total ham. It was actually a keiki show by professionals, so she was never called up and so sad! But Tom got called up and had to do it instead which was hysterical! Here she is waiting:... Read more →
