Welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things teaser time for their October releases. Today is a little different than all the other days on this blog during teaser time! I didn't use MY new stamp set! I wanted to. I planned on it. But I actually much preferred the one being released today on the layout I was making by the talented Lisa Johnson, so it got used instead. But please still buy my stamp set - heehee!
I made this layout using several of the new die-namics as well as the new Grand Holiday Greetings stamp set which is here: (isn't it cute? I know - how could I resist using it?!?!?!)
And if you click on that image right above these words after October 8th at 7:00 pm pst, you can buy it on the MFT website! I just learned out to link, so I'm showing off right now!
Here is my layout using this set:
I stamped it with Versamark ink and then embossed it with silver gray embossing powder. I messed up the first time using a different color and didn't like it, so forgive the overlapped paper covering the first design. I could have photoshopped it out, but I like to just hang my flaws out there!
I also used some of the new die-namics that were introduced today:
This one is called Falling Snowflakes and I used it for the 2" wide x 6" tall panels behind the photos (which fit the die-namics perfectly!). I used washi tape to hold the paper in place over the die so it wouldn't move around while I cranked my antiquated Big Shot! (yep, you can click on it to purchase it...)
I cut the tree out of a piece of 4" wide x 6" tall patterned paper and decorated it with my new favorite die-namics - love the whimical doodly look of this one!
I also used the new die-namic "merry" frame that was introduced earlier this week.
And that ends my post for today. And here is my repetitive comment for the week: Leave a comment on this post or any post during teaser time (or all!) for a chance to win two free sets of my new stamp set, Sweet Christmas! I'll announce the winners during the new product tour on Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 pm pst! Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out all the other design team members blogs to see how they used the gorgeous new releases from today! Happy Weekend! suzy
