Studio Calico REVEAL of February Kits...

And they do it again ... Introducing Studio Calico's February Front Row Kits: Scrapbook Kit, Card Kit, and Project Life kit. I made four Project Life spreads with the kits this month. I'm going to show you the full images today, but you can see additional pictures of them in the SC gallery and I'm going to do a detailed post about each spread each week of the month. I want to show different techniques I did using the kits in more detail which will be WAY too much for one post.

Here is the Project Life spread I made using ONLY the February Front Row Project Life kit and the Printables Here and Here and Labels:

I didn't think the red and turquoise were the predominant colors in the kit, but I really pulled them out for this spread. There were many possible color combos you could go with. I also used the February Front Row printables on this and changed the colors of some of them so they matched my color scheme.

• 03 Micron Marker (I use these for all my journaling and my doodles)
• Uniball white gel pen (I use these directly on photos - you can write on glossy or matte)
• Ranger Tiny Attacher (I have fallen in love with this tool - a necessity for PL!)
• 1/4"/1/2" Chomper by WRMK (lets you round all yoru corners ot match those of the PL cards)
• Staz On Ink Pad Jet Black (I use this for all my stamping as you can stamp on any surface and always get perfect images that don't smear)

Studio Calico Front Row Sneaks

It's beginning to look a lot like Studio Calico February Kit Sneak Peek time! I've already posted most of these on Instagram (under suzyplant) and on the Studio Calico sneak board, but here they are again if you haven't seen them yet!

The first few are made with ONLY the Project Life kit. I LOVE turquoise and red together!

The next one is made with only Front Row Add-On 1 called Big Screen. Another one of my favorite color combos - pinks and teals with some yellow thrown in.

This sneak peek is made with only Add-On Two which is called Popcorn. The "documented" stamp is my favorite from this month's kits.

These next three were all made with a combination of all the kits mixed together (I purchased all four add-ons this month). The circles in this one are made from washi tape on white cardstock. The "right now" circle is a cut file. The frame on the third photo was cut from white cardstock with washi on it - you can tell I love this washi!

Now that is A LOT of sneaks! But I've only completed three of four spreads, so more to come! Have a great week friends! Suzy

 

(adorable) Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper BLOG HOP!!!

My good friend, and very adorable and sweet friend, Miss Maggie Holmes is coming out with a new scrapbook line that is UTTERLY ADORABLE (just like Maggie). She has teamed up with Crate Paper to design and produce a signature line of scrapbooking products. I would like to get my hands on these products NOW! I think they will be my favorite line at CHA this year BECAUSE EVERYTHING MAGGIE DOES IS ADORABLE (did I mention that already?!?!?!)...even her name! So it makes sense that she used it as the name for the product line. 

When I think of Maggie, I think of pink, frilly, ADORABLE, gorgeous florals, glitter, teal, yellow, vintage, CAMERAS, more pink, bows, girly, ... I haven't seen her new line yet except for the sneak images below, but I can bet it is a bit of all these things! I made a mini album in a class by Maggie once years ago and to this day, it is still my favorite creation I have ever made. And with that .... drum roll please ... here are the sneaks:

Project Life + Studio Calico = My Longest Post Ever

I showed some sneak peeks of my Project Life layouts using the January Studio Calico kits some time ago. And then I got busy and forgot to post all the actual spreads!!! So today I am going to post all four spreads I made using the January kits and this is going to be one VERY LONG POST! So get ready...

This was my first month being on the Studio Calico project life design team, so I went a little crazy and purchased all of the add-on kits. The first spread is made with ONLY THE PROJECT LIFE kit from January. The next three spreads are made from a combination of all of the January SC kits which are linked at the bottom of this post.
